Library
Porirua College’s Te Whare Pukapuka is a bright and welcoming hub for learning where students can study, read, relax, and create. The library collection supports the school’s curriculum, as well as helping students develop a lifelong love of reading and learning, setting them up for future success.
Porirua College’s collection of books act as mirrors, helping students feel seen; windows, opening views to the wider world, both real and imagined; and sliding glass doors, so students feel more connected to their whakapapa and community (a model developed by Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop).
