Qualifications We Offer
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy co-requisites (10 credits literacy / 10 credits numeracy)
- NCEA certificates at Levels 1, 2 and 3 (60 credits at each level, separate to the literacy and numeracy co-requisites) *
- University Entrance (* students must achieve the Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy co-requisites in order to be awarded their level 1, 2 or 3 NCEA certificate)
Our Personalised Learning faculty works with ākonga who need extra support, whether that is to do Spanish through Te Kura Correspondence School or extra reading, writing and maths.
Students from Porirua College are able to apply for Trades training opportunities through Whitirea / Weltec (at Levels 1 and 2 whilst enrolled at PC).
Senior students are supported to work towards being work ready, or achieving University Entrance (UE). This includes receiving help with applying for university places and financial scholarships for tertiary study.
Our Transition faculty aims to have every student leaving with a clear pathway towards employment or further education.
