Enrolments

There are three ways to start your enrolment process at Porirua College.

1. Online Enrolment

Enrol your child online by clicking the link below:

Online Enrolment at PC

Then click “Start New Enrolment Application”.

You will then be contacted within two working days of receiving your notification to arrange an enrolment meeting and advised what documentation to bring with you.

2. Enrolment Form

Download a copy of the 2025 Enrolment Form.

Bring the enrolment form to the school office with supporting documents. We will will arrange an enrolment meeting time with you.

3. School Office Enrolment

Enrol your child at the school office.

Collect an enrolment pack from the school office and make an appointment for an enrolment meeting.

There are also enrolment packs available at your child’s primary or intermediate school.

Complete the enrolment form and bring it to your enrolment meeting or drop it off in advance.

The sooner we get your enrolment form, the better, so that we can plan for your child’s learning.

Transition Programme

During Term 4, new students will have the opportunity to visit Porirua College for one whole day and an afternoon. They will learn the school song, as part of becoming a PC student and find out about junior option choices.

Year 8s will join in activities with current students and teachers, getting to know all the Houses. Porirua College year 9 and 10 students will lead learning activities to share with year 8s.

School Enrolment Zone

In order to avoid overcrowding, Porirua College’s Board of Trustees adopted an enrolment scheme which has been approved by the Ministry of Education, and has been effective from Monday 8th February 2010.

All students who live within the home zone described below and shown on the map, are entitled to enrol at the school.

Proof of residence within the home zone will be required.  You can bring in an electricity/gas/rates invoice for your home address.

The home zone is bounded by:

  • SH1 (Johnsonville-Porirua Motorway) to the west
  • Kenepuru Stream and Bothamley Park to the north
  • Porirua Park to the south and Belmont Regional Park to the south and east

and includes:

  • Champion Street and all streets off it
  • Mungavin Road and all the streets off it
  • Warspite Ave and all side streets to its roundabout intersection with Omapere Street
