Sport at Porirua College
We have a range of sports codes in which we are becoming increasingly successful. This has long been a tradition of Porirua College and one in which we encourage all students to become involved.
We are currently participating in the Ignite Sports Ambassadors Programme as below:
This programme is designed to develop young sports leaders with the ability to positively influence school and the community. The focus of the programme is to help young people who have a passion for sport recognise that before they can positively influence others, they must first recognise how to effectively lead themselves (both on and off the field). The programme revisits many of the key lessons introduced at Ontrack, and expands on these in more depth. A key aspect of the Ambassadors programme is the camp at the end of the year.
